X-men: Dark Phoenix is a film based on the famous work X-Men: The Dark Phoenix Saga written by famous writers Chris Claremont and John Buscema.
The film is set after X-Men: Apocalypse, when the X-Men and mutants are no longer despised by everyone and even receive a certain amount of favor from both sides of Professor X.
The film’s motif is quite simple, Simon Kinberg creates a situation that separates the mutants from each other and from humans and then opens another situation to see if the mutants themselves can unite again to fight a dangerous threat.
One point that X-Men: Dark Phoenix did better than its predecessor – X-Men: The Last Stand is the evolution of Jean’s mood from the past to the present and is also the key to the loss of Jean.
Like previous X-Men movies, the movie’s fight scenes are quite satisfying.
The film’s sound is done quite well and is `better` than X-Men: The Last Stand because of its gentle darkness, typically the song `Heart Race` appeared in trailer 2 of the film.
In addition, the film also has a number of Easter Eggs that perhaps die-hard Marvel fans will be extremely surprised when it was cleverly inserted by the producer.
All in all, X-Men: Dark Phoenix is not really a satisfactory end to the universe with Fox’s 20-year history when it resolves almost nothing, but at least it has the `Last Stand` aspect.
Scoring: 6/10.
X-men: Dark Phoenix is being released in theaters nationwide.
