I have seen her impressive works, they are like silk threads for the fetus to cling to to make a nest.

This exhibition is inspired by the shape and structure of honeycombs, as they bring beautiful harmony between shapes and materials.

I was especially moved by the idea of creating an exhibition that was both suitable for Toong’s space and a way for her to tell her own story.

I think so.

Works displayed in the Nesting exhibition

Why did you stop at 13 works?

Actually, at first I planned to make 10 works, but the more I did it, the more creative ideas and inspiration I got.

How much time do you spend on “Nesting”?

Using engine technology is not simple.

I see that she especially likes and pays attention to the materials.

I have a lot of interest in materials and surface treatment of materials.

.

Besides the materials used in the exhibition, what other materials are you interested in?

There are so many materials I want to experiment with.

You are also the Creative Director of Ti Toay Art Studio, a place purely for children?

That’s right, it’s an art workshop for kids ages 3–15.

.

What is your experience when attending exhibitions around the world?

You should find information online about competitions or exhibitions.

So what’s the secret to being chosen?

(Laughs) I don’t have any secrets.

Are there any difficulties or differences when female artists pursue their path in installation art?

In my opinion, no.

What are your upcoming plans?

I want to do an exhibition about the children at Ti Toay Art Studio in mid-2016.
