1. Origin and characteristics of the Living Tribunal
Created by Marvel legends Stan Lee, Marie Severin and Herb Trimpe, the Living Tribunal first appeared in the Strange Tales series, where the first superhero he met was Doctor Strange.
According to the hierarchy in Marvel Comics, the Living Tribunal is second only to One Above All, the supreme entity of this comics company, tasked with protecting the balance of the Marvel Multiverse.
Not only is he the entity that governs reality to help One Above All, he is also the representative of other powerful entities such as Death, Eternity, Galactus, Lord Chaos, Master Order, In-Betweener,… According to the Tribunal, behind
Like other abstract entities, the Living Tribunal also has entities/M-Body created from the Dimension of Manifestations – each M-Body is a Living Tribunal that governs the entire Multiverse.
In the Fantastic Four Annual #27, Marvel announced that the Dimension of Manifestations/Overspace/Superspace could be a 16-dimensional space, far beyond space-time, beyond even regular comic characters.
2. Strength
The power of the Supreme Living Tribunal was most clearly demonstrated after the Infinity Gauntlet event.
In the Adventures of X-Men series, the power of the Supreme Living Tribunal is also shown in killing and reviving two entities called Brothers, two entities representing the two Multiverses of Marvel and DC.
Although ranked only after One Above All, because many writers have written series, Living Tribunal is inferior to quite a few characters such as Nemesis – a character merged from 7 Infinity Stones, Protégé – who once absorbed
However, there is still a theory that the Living Tribunals killed by the Beyonders are just the M-Body of the Living Tribunal, while the real Tribunal is still in the Dimension of Manifestations/Overspace.
Currently, the Living Tribunal of the Marvel Multiverse (containing the main universe) is an Adam Warlock in another universe – appointed by One-Above-All in the series Thanos: The Infinity Finale.
Possessing endless power and being among the most powerful entities in Marvel Comics, the Living Tribunal is probably a very interesting character to appear in some Marvel Cinematic universe.
