Known as a woman with artistic tastes, Ms. Chu Thi Hong Anh demonstrates them very skillfully through self-designed costumes and jewelry as well as proactively decorating her home and work spaces.
If her cozy little house was introduced by ELLE Décoration a few years ago as a `Dead corner in the middle of the street` with a sophisticated highlight in harmoniously combining classic features into a modern space, then why?
Walking around the floors of the house on the unique antique elevator that she collected and completely restored with 100% solid iron blocks shows the sophistication of the female owner of the house in preserving the original value of the items.
Ms. Hong Anh said that in Vietnam today it is difficult to find a similar antique elevator because to complete this elevator, she spent months searching and making each solid iron block so it looks sturdy.
However, she is still not too strict with the traditional classical style. According to her, in order for antique items to be useful in modern life, they need to be adapted accordingly.
The house is flooded with sunlight through the double-layered glass shutters along the wall, creating an airy landscape for the eyes.
Even in original buildings, shutters are still quite simple to catch natural sunlight and wind, so to create a highlight for the windows without breaking the unique features of this architectural style, Ms.
From the outside, rows of windows along the wall with small railings around them are molded with many solid iron patterns, showing the understanding of the combination between classic style and modern touches.
Don’t ignore the basic details that show the ventilation in Indochina architecture with high walls and wide doors, so wherever you sit, you can breathe fresh air and enjoy the natural cool breeze without having to wait.
