My parents taught me and my three brothers to always believe that we could do anything we wanted.

There is no clear moment at all.

What are the goals and mission of the Tory Burch foundation?

Our foundation, founded in 2009, promotes the empowerment and entrepreneurship of women entrepreneurs in the United States.

What is the current project you are working on?

The global initiative Embrace Ambition is an important part of this effort.

As a woman, what is the most shocking thing you have ever experienced?

There were so many… One of the most shocking things was my inner turmoil.
