Croquevielle & photography: timing is key

Croquevielle & photography: timing is key 1

Photographer Rehahn says he wants people all over the world to see the beauty of Vietnam through many different angles: babies with innocent faces, old people with wrinkles, hands

Babies with innocent, clear faces

Why do you only take photos of Vietnamese elderly and children?

I like children very much, because I can play with them.

Why Vietnam?

Because everyone here loves me.

Vietnamese people love me

What was your biggest reward when switching to photography?

When a Vietnamese person came to meet me at my gallery in Hoi An, they said they were a big fan of me.

Best compliment you’ve ever received?

That I captured people’s souls.

What advice do you have for people who want to take portraits of people?

I think besides the skills required for photography, portrait photographers must enjoy communicating with people and enjoy spending time with them.

If there is something that you think people misunderstand about your work, what is it?

Perhaps those are the people who don’t see the meticulous details in the clothes, or the personality traits in the faces of my portraits – parts that can say a lot.

Tell me something about yourself that no one knows.
